Prepare a commercial epoxy inquiry with traffic, loading, exposure, cleaning, access and scheduling information.
Describe the work taking place on the floor
A commercial floor must support the activities of the facility. Begin by identifying pedestrian routes, rolling equipment, vehicle movement and loading conditions. A showroom, workshop and storage room may have different requirements even within the same building.
Explain which parts of the facility need coating and whether their operating conditions differ. Heavier equipment or more demanding exposure can require a detailed system assessment. Do not assume a coating appropriate for a reception area is also suitable for every work zone.
Document exposure and cleaning procedures
List the types of spills and cleaning products the floor may encounter. Chemical resistance varies by system and should be checked against actual expected exposure. General statements about durability are not a substitute for a material review.
Surface texture matters where water, cleaning solutions or other substances may be present. Discuss traction and maintenance together, including how the area is cleaned and how frequently it is used. The selected finish needs to suit day-to-day operations as well as presentation.
Identify substrate and access constraints
Record previous coatings, visible cracks, contamination, worn sections and known moisture concerns. Include approximate square footage and any floor drains or transitions. Photos can support an initial inquiry, but preparation and suitability still need to be assessed.
Tell the contractor about occupied areas, delivery routes and equipment that cannot easily be moved. The installation zone must be safely isolated during preparation, application and curing. Access planning belongs in the scope before the work is scheduled.
Build a realistic project schedule
Discuss operating hours, closure windows and whether work may need sequencing. Installation and return-to-service requirements depend on the materials and conditions. A request to reopen quickly does not remove the coating system's curing requirements.
SiteWorx works with Calgary business owners, facility managers and project teams to review commercial epoxy needs. Request a commercial quote with the floor area, location, intended use, exposure conditions and access constraints so the scope can be assessed before a schedule is agreed.
